2013 YMCA Golf Scramble
The 27th Annual YMCA Golf Scramble was a big success after being rescheduled due to rain. The event was originally scheduled for Monday June 10th but after an evening and morning of heavy rain the course was not in playing condition. The event was rescheduled for Monday August 12th and we almost made it through the entire day without rain. We had a record turnout with 120 golfers (30 teams) that participated in this year’s event. The Scramble was held for the fourth consecutive year at Spring Meadow Golf Club in Linden and everything was top notch.
We would like to thank our sponsor King Par for their support and generous donation including many of the raffle and door prizes. The YMCA would also like to thank the Skaff family for their continued support of the YMCA of Greater Flint through the Woody Skaff Scholarship Fund. The Skaff family had 11 teams participate in the 2013 YMCA Golf Scramble. We would also like to thank all of our hole and flag sponsors and donors.
The evening ended with the presentation of a very special award to an amazing individual. The Woody Skaff Sportsmanship Award was presented to Paul Wenstrom for his dedication to the YMCA of Greater Flint and his commitment to the mission.
