2010 YMCA of Greater Flint Golf Scramble

Spring Meadows Country Club in Linden was the host site of the 24th Annual YMCA of Greater Flint Golf Scramble on June 21st. This marks the second consecutive year the scramble has called Spring Meadows home. 92 golfers took part in the event that was blessed with sun soaked weather which lead to some impressive score postings and great fellowship.
2010 Woody Skaff Sportsmanship award was presented to Dan Straka and King Par for their strong annual partnership with the event. Dan is the key representative of King Par's commitment to the event and the YMCA. Dan is responsible for annually supporting the event with equipment donations that reach in total value to well over $4,000 each year. Thanks to all those who supported this wonderful event, the YMCA of Greater Flint raised over $5,600 dollars! Proceeds from the event go toward the Woody Skaff Scholarship Fund as well as the Partner with Youth Campaign.
Planning is already underway for next year's Golf Scramble which will be held at Spring Meadows Country Club on Monday, June 20, 2011. Save the date and plan on attending next year?s event and help support YMCA youth programs.
